A resident of Nooken was arrested for a month for evading alimony payments.
According to information provided by the Bailiff Service, the debtor has accumulated a debt amounting to 351,224 soms. Despite notifications and attempts at forced collection, he continued to ignore his obligations.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 178, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. The suspect, known by the initials N.N.S., was detained.
According to the decision of the Nooken District Court dated January 30, 2026, a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of one month was imposed on the detainee.
The Bailiff Service emphasizes that evading alimony payments can lead to not only civil but also criminal liability.
