Accident in Dmitrievka Claims the Life of a Driver
According to information provided by witnesses, the incident happened on February 1 at around 22:30.
The press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region reported that on February 2, 2026, at 00:25, a signal was received at the duty station of the Issyk-Ata District Internal Affairs Department from the Issyk-Ata District Hospital regarding two injured individuals as a result of the traffic accident. The report has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway.
The investigation established that on February 2 at 00:03, at 24 km + 300 m of the Bishkek—Torugart highway, driver A.I., born in 2000, was driving a Volkswagen Passat, traveling from west to east. Losing control, he collided with a Toyota Camry, driven by M.T., also born in 2000. As a result of the impact, the Toyota Camry struck the front left wheel of a Honda CR-V, driven by T.A., born in 2006, damaging the left side of the roof.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the Toyota Camry, A.A., born in 1990, and the driver of the Volkswagen Passat, A.I., were hospitalized at the Issyk-Ata District Hospital; however, the driver later passed away.
Legal forensic examinations have been initiated regarding this incident, and an investigation is being conducted to clarify all circumstances of the accident. Based on the results, a procedural decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the statement said.
