In the Naryn region, 30-year-old Baibolot Kamchybek uulu from the village of Ak-Zhar in the At-Bashinsky district was able to fully cover the losses for the sheep that died in the incident.

According to local residents, Baibolot was herding 820 sheep belonging to 14 owners in the Kara-Too area. On January 2, 2026, around 16:00, the sheep were frightened by dogs and, as a result of the panic, 186 heads fell into a ravine about 50 meters deep and approximately 100 meters long.

After the tragedy, the livestock owners arrived at the scene to assess the damages. It was decided to write off 86 sheep, and the cost of the remaining 100 heads was placed on Baibolot. The total amount of damage was approximately 1 million soms. Since Baibolot's parents had already passed away, it was difficult for him to cope with such a financial burden on his own. As a result, his older brothers and the villagers discussed the situation and sought support from kind-hearted people.

Neighbors from Ak-Zhar and other regions of Kyrgyzstan quickly responded to the call for help. Fundraising was conducted both through bank transfers and in cash. Many residents transferred 500-600 soms, while some contributed even more. Ultimately, it was possible to raise 333,648 soms, which allowed for the complete repayment of the debt. Additionally, 98 heads of livestock were collected and handed over.
With the support of his fellow villagers, Baibolot was able to relieve himself of the burden of debt. One of his neighbors, Chyngyz Tenti uulu, kept a record of the donations in a special notebook. “After Baibolot's parents passed away, he couldn’t pay such an amount by himself. So we discussed the situation with his brothers and reached out for help from people. The residents of Ak-Zhar once again confirmed the unity of the Kyrgyz people. We collected money through the bank and in cash, and also organized the collection of livestock. Everyone helped according to their means: some transferred 500-650 soms, while others donated even 1 som, asking not to mention their names. One woman said, ‘I have only 1 som left, I will transfer it. But don’t write my name down. When I receive my pension, I will transfer more,’” he recounted.

In the end, 333,648 soms were collected through the bank, and 98 heads of livestock were handed over. Thanks to the support of the people, our younger brother was able to fully settle his debts and no longer find himself in a difficult situation. We express our gratitude to everyone,” he added.
