On December 26, A.B. Jenalieva, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who was detained in Iraq on charges of theft, was deported back to her homeland. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Information about the detention of the Kyrgyz woman, D.A.B., born on December 26, 1987, who worked in a beauty salon, appeared on Kyrgyz social media on November 7, 2025. She was detained in Iraq on suspicion of committing theft. This news quickly spread across the internet.

After receiving information about the detention, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kuwait immediately began working to clarify all the circumstances of the case and to provide consular and legal assistance to Jenalieva.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that embassy staff maintained contact with the relatives of the detainee and provided them with all necessary information through phone calls. Interaction with the Iraqi authorities was also carried out on an ongoing basis until the situation was fully resolved.
