The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region reports a tragic incident in the Sokuluk district, where three small children drowned.
According to the police, on February 2, a report was received at the Sokuluk district police department that three children had fallen into a canal located in the village of Maiskaya in the Zhana-Pakhtinsky ayil okmotu.
A forensic investigative group immediately went to the scene and registered the incident. Upon arrival, the officers found that all three children had been located; however, despite resuscitation attempts, they had died before the ambulance arrived.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the deceased were children born in 2021: M.N., S.E., and I.M.
All three children were playing together; their families live nearby and are relatives. The canal into which they fell is located approximately 300 meters from their homes.
The investigation revealed that the canal was filled with water for irrigating agricultural lands and had no fencing. Additionally, the edges of the canal were covered with ice. Until 2:00 PM, no one noticed that the children were missing. One of them, M.I. (also born in 2021), came to his mother without speaking and tried to explain what had happened. Not understanding him, the mother followed him, and upon approaching the canal, she saw the drowned children and screamed for help.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the morgue, and necessary forensic examinations were appointed. The investigation is ongoing, and appropriate decisions will be made in accordance with the law based on its results.
