In Manas, illegal missionary activities of a religious movement were suppressed

According to the State National Security Committee (GKNB), this movement opposes the principles of a secular state and actively supports Sharia law. As a result of the conducted activities, it became known that the Jalal-Abad region was chosen as a venue for conducting religious events, spreading ideology, and forming local cells.

Government authorities emphasized that timely intervention helped prevent the establishment of one of the potential cells of undesirable religious organizations on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Administrative fines were imposed on the participants and organizers of this missionary activity. Work continues to ensure compliance with the norms of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations" and other legal acts.

Operational activities are ongoing, and the GKNB noted that criminal penalties are provided for illegal missionary activities.
