Activities related to the illegal missionary work of a non-traditional religious movement have been suspended in the territory of Manas, located in the Jalal-Abad region. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

The "Furkan" movement is known for its opposition to secular state policy and its active promotion of Sharia law.

As a result of the operations carried out, law enforcement officers detained 20 individuals, among whom 6 are foreign citizens. According to available information, representatives of the "Furkan" movement chose the Jalal-Abad region as a platform for organizing religious events aimed at spreading their ideology and creating cells in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Administrative fines have been imposed on the organizers and participants of this illegal missionary activity. Measures are being taken to ensure compliance with the norms of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Associations" and other applicable regulatory legal acts.
