In Osh, unauthorized alteration of the canal's course for the construction of a business center was halted
According to information provided by the mayor's office, on February 1, the municipal inspection of Osh conducted an inspection in connection with illegal construction work being carried out at 254 Alymbek-Datka Street.
“As a result of the inspection, violations were identified committed by the company 'Unite Development'. Protocols were drawn up against two excavator drivers in accordance with the Code of Offenses, which resulted in fines,” the statement noted.
It was also revealed that the owner of the property located in the protected zone of the canal attempted to illegally change the course. Relevant municipal and regulatory authorities were called to the scene,” the press service added.
According to the mayor's office, the owners intended to redirect the flow of the canal to build a business center. In this regard, the necessary documents were prepared, and the materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation. A legal assessment will be conducted in accordance with current legislation.
The mayor's office emphasizes that changing the courses of canals without permission is strictly prohibited. All earthworks related to canals (including excavations and changes to the course) must be carried out exclusively with the consent of the authorized state and municipal structures. Appropriate measures will be taken against violators in accordance with established procedures.
