In the Issyk-Kul region, a driver who hit a Chinese citizen and fled the scene was detained.
According to the agency's information, the incident occurred on January 30, 2026, around 21:45. On the access road leading to the village of Chyrak in the Jeti-Oguz district, an unknown driver in an unidentified vehicle struck a Chinese citizen, born in 1969, with the surname S. L., who was standing on the roadside. After the accident, the driver fled the scene.
In response to this incident, special posts were organized to identify the driver, and operational search activities were initiated. As a result of these efforts, traffic police officers, specifically the head of the department in the Jeti-Oguz district, A. Usubakunov, and the search group inspector, E. Turdakhunov, were able to detain the suspect. He turned out to be S. S. D., born in 2004, a resident of the Jeti-Oguz district, who was driving a "Toyota Avensis." The vehicle was placed in a towing lot, and the detainee was handed over to the investigative authorities.
