According to information from the Patrol Service of the Bishkek City Police Department, the incident occurred on January 29 around 1:00 PM on 7 April Street, where a Hyundai Sonata driver hit a child and fled the scene.
The driver stated that he was distracted by a passenger sitting in the back, which led to the collision with the child. The driver also noted that he left because he was in a state of shock and expressed his apologies.
The department urges all drivers not to leave the scene of an accident in case of a traffic incident.
