A resident of the capital named A.I. filed a complaint with the police, stating that on December 19, 2025, he was beaten and threatened with a gun by strangers.
During the investigation, it was revealed that on December 6 of the same year, the complainant himself was detained by officers of the Drug Control Service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek, and strong medication tablets were found in his possession. This incident was recorded under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale").
During the interrogation, the suspect stated that he received the tablets from A.M., born in 1995. She was detained on December 29 and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation suggests that the detained woman's husband, N.A., born in 1997, attempted to intimidate a witness to force him to change his testimony.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 280 ("Hooliganism") and 355 ("Threat or violence in connection with a pre-trial investigation") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
