In Russia, Ekaterina Bivol was sentenced to 60 hours of mandatory work
The court found her guilty under the article of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation concerning "Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity," and imposed a penalty of 60 hours of community service.
In Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, criminal cases were initiated against Bivol, and she was declared wanted. Her statements caused offense towards Kyrgyz and Kazakh people, according to news reports.
Ekaterina Bivol is the ex-wife of Dmitry Bivol, a well-known world boxing champion from Tokmok. She often expressed negative opinions about him on social media.
