The investigation began after a citizen, A.A., approached the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department on December 28, 2025. She reported that unknown individuals had stolen an iPhone 12 Pro Max from her daughter's jacket pocket at the Alamedin market.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities, the police were able to identify and detain the first suspect, 25-year-old A.K. (born in 1998). It later became clear that he was selling the stolen phones in the "Osh Bazar" market with the involvement of the second suspect, 22-year-old A.Z. (born in 2001).
Both detainees were placed in a temporary detention facility at the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During searches at the "Besh-Sary" shopping center, law enforcement seized more than 20 mobile phones, the origins of which raise suspicions related to criminal activity. Currently, a connection has been established between the detainees and several pickpocketing incidents that occurred in the capital's markets.
The investigation is ongoing.
