At the Russian-Kazakh border, near the "Sagarchin" checkpoint, employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the FSB prevented an attempt to illegally export 24 sport horses to Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by Russian media.
The horses, which were intended to participate in sporting events, were sent from Kabardino-Balkaria. However, their departure from the Orenburg region turned out to be impossible due to serious violations of veterinary legislation.
In particular, information about the horses was not registered in the federal state system "Khorriot". Moreover, the carrier did not carry out the mandatory preventive and anti-epizootic measures, which are necessary to protect against dangerous diseases that can be transmitted between animals and humans.
Inspectors established that the package of veterinary accompanying documents required for safe transportation was incomplete.
As a result of the inspection, the horses were returned to their place of departure, and administrative penalties were imposed on the carrier.
