In Osh Region, fines totaling 68,000 soms were issued for illegal hunting
This was reported by the press service of the southern branch of NABU Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information, the organization's staff, together with representatives from the Department of Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity of the Osh Regional Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, as well as officers from the patrol service of the police, organized another raid in the Kara-Suu and Nookat districts. The purpose of the raid was to monitor compliance with hunting regulations and the legality of firearms.
“The raid first took place in the Kara-Suu district. As a result, it was found that two citizens violated the requirements of hunting regulations. In relation to them, a fine of 12,500 soms was imposed under Article 263 of the Code of Offenses, as well as a fine of 3,000 soms based on Article 133. In total: 28,000 soms in fines.
This same raid also took place in the Nookat district. There, in the Zhilgin-Sai area of the village of Töölos, four citizens were found to be illegally keeping six birds in a cage. As a result, each of them was fined 10,000 soms under Article 261 of the Code of Offenses — a total of 40,000 soms,” the statement said.
Thus, the total amount of fines amounted to 68,000 soms. During the raid, explanatory work was also conducted with local residents on environmental protection and compliance with hunting regulations.
