In Jalal-Abad Region, an 8th Grader Wanted to Carry Out a Terrorist Attack in Schools and Kindergartens

In the Toguz-Torou district of the Jalal-Abad region, an internet terrorist threatening schools and kindergartens has been identified. He turned out to be an 8th-grade student.

According to information provided by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR), messages about possible terrorist acts allegedly planned in kindergartens and secondary schools in the village of Kazarman were posted under a hidden account on the Facebook page "Kazaraman reklama".

"During operational-search activities, an 8th-grade student from one of the schools in the Toguz-Torou district, known as B.K., was identified. Under the influence of internet terrorists, he acted under pressure and psychological influence, intending to carry out a terrorist act," the agency reports.
Currently, the GKNB KR is conducting the necessary investigative actions regarding the detained individual to take measures in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The agency noted that for committing serious and particularly serious crimes, responsibility begins at the age of 14. A threat of terrorism is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
