According to him, situational centers operate in all regions of the country, providing round-the-clock monitoring of video surveillance to enhance citizens' safety.
“In the republic, more than 3,000 cameras have been installed that operate in public places. Each registered offense is transmitted to the territorial divisions of the district internal affairs bodies for further action in accordance with the law,” noted Almaz Batyrbaev.
He also added that in 2026, as part of the second phase of the "Safe Country" project, an additional 20,000 video cameras will be installed.
“The installation process will take place in stages. First, employees will study the areas where crimes occur most frequently. In addition, appropriate infrastructure is necessary for the installation of video cameras, including round-the-clock power supply and internet connection. The cameras come in various types: some rotate 360 degrees, while others are fixed and directed in one direction,” explained Almaz Batyrbaev.
