A man has been detained in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, on suspicion of murder. This was reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
According to law enforcement agencies, on January 26 at 09:01, a report was received by the emergency call service 102 about an incident that occurred in one of the hotels on Kuliyev Street, resulting in a girl sustaining a stab wound and dying at the scene.
The investigation has established that there was a romantic relationship between 20-year-old D.M. and 21-year-old R.E. On the day of the tragedy, after drinking alcoholic beverages together, the couple had a quarrel. During the conflict, the girl stabbed the man in the arm, to which he responded by stabbing her in the neck, leading to her death.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 122 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect, born in 2002, has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
