On January 20, 2026, around 7:40 AM, a dead man approximately 60 years old was found at the 273rd kilometer of the Bishkek – Osh road in the Toktogul district. According to preliminary information, he was hit by a driver of a vehicle who later fled the scene. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Police officers from the Jalal-Abad region conducted operational activities and soon identified the suspect. He turned out to be a native of the Leilek district of the Batken region, born in 1997. The driver was detained at the Too-Ashuu pass while attempting to transport his vehicle on a tow truck.

After the arrest, the suspect was handed over to the investigative department of the Toktogul District Department of Internal Affairs. Currently, investigative actions and technical expertise are ongoing.
