According to information from the agency, the akim of the Bakay-Ata district, A.B.M., and the director of the Talas forestry, A.N.Z., acted in collusion from 2022 to 2023, illegally transferring plots of land from the State Forest Fund for the construction of recreational facilities. These plots were allocated without conducting an environmental assessment, without compensation for forest losses, and without state registration.

As a result of these actions, the state suffered damages exceeding 23 million soms.
Additionally, in 2024, akim A.B.M. authorized the logging of 475 poplars in the district without the necessary permits, which also caused damage to the state amounting to over 5.3 million soms.
An investigation has been initiated based on the findings under the article "Abuse of official position" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspects have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Talas City Department of Internal Affairs.
Investigative actions are ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are identifying other participants in this corruption scheme.
