New information has emerged about the tragic incident that occurred on the outskirts of the village of Spartak in the Moscow district of the Chui region, where a car caught fire, claiming the lives of a young man and a girl.

According to information from Gulgaak Matillaeva, a social educator at Spartak Secondary School, the tragedy happened during the night of January 19, 2026. "Among the deceased was our student S.T., who was in the 10th grade. She was born on February 22, 2010, and was one of the best students, having won several competitions. She particularly stood out for her knowledge and interest in the Russian language and literature. Her photographs were often seen on the school's 'Honor Board,'" Matillaeva said.

On the evening of January 19, S.T. asked her mother for permission to go outside to meet her boyfriend but did not return home. Her mother tried several times to call her daughter but was unsuccessful. The next day, January 20, she learned about the tragedy — it became known that her daughter had burned in her boyfriend's car, the educator added.

After receiving the news of the tragedy, the school's teachers immediately went to the parents. "The mother was in a terrible emotional state. We ourselves were in shock and couldn't comprehend what had happened," Matillaeva noted.

It is known that S.T. had been dating a fellow villager named E. since the summer of 2025, who was born in 2000. The girl's mother was aware of their relationship.

S.T. was the third daughter in a family that also has two brothers and two sisters.

As reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, on January 20 at 09:53, information was received at the duty station of the Moscow district police about a silver Volkswagen Golf 3 that had burned on the eastern outskirts of the village of Spartak, near the lake.

A forensic investigative team was dispatched to the scene, where they discovered two deceased individuals: the driver was in the front seat, and the passenger was in the rear right seat.

The identities of the deceased were established. The driver was O.E., born in 2000, also a resident of the village of Spartak, and the passenger was T.S., a 10th-grade student born in 2010.

According to information from the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, during the investigation, it was found that O.E. had purchased his car on January 11, 2026, at a car market. On January 13, he contacted electrician S.S. with a complaint about a malfunctioning left headlight. The electrician noted the poor technical condition of the vehicle: exposed wires, the smell of gasoline, and smoke in the cabin, warning the owner about the high degree of danger in operating it.

Currently, the remains of the deceased have been sent to the morgue, forensic examinations have been appointed, and the investigation is ongoing.
