Illegal Hunting in Osh: Six Caught
These violations were identified during a joint raid conducted by the southern branch of NABU Kyrgyzstan, inspectors from the Osh Department of Environmental and Technical Supervision, and representatives from the Department of Protection of Specially Protected Natural Areas and Biodiversity.
According to the gathered information, the hunting rules were violated by:
- 1 citizen in the rural district of Kyrgyzstan, located on the outskirts of the city of Osh;
- 3 citizens in the rural district of Papaan in the Kara-Suu district;
- 2 citizens in the rural district of Shankol in the Nookat district.
Thus, a total of six violators were apprehended.
The specified individuals were fined between 12,500 and 75,000 soms, and they are also required to compensate for damages amounting to 2,000 soms.
As part of the raid, local residents were also provided with explanations about the importance of adhering to hunting norms, protecting wildlife, and strictly following the legislation,” the press service reported.
