In the lawsuit, the woman demands compensation for moral damages from xAI and the removal of the disputed images, as well as the imposition of a fine on the company.
In response, xAI filed a counterclaim, arguing that St. Clair violated the user agreement, which stipulates that all disputes must be resolved in Texas courts, while her lawsuit was filed in New York.
It was previously reported that the social network X has restricted the capabilities of the Grok chatbot to create explicit images of real people.
Additionally, in Malaysia and Indonesia, authorities have already blocked Grok for creating deepfakes of intimate content, and UK authorities have also expressed their intention to take action against the neural network.
According to the California Attorney General's Office, Rob Bonta has launched an investigation, revealing that "more than half of the 20,000 images created by xAI from Christmas to New Year's contained people, including apparently children, in minimal clothing."
