SBNON Summarizes Its Work for 2025: Activities of 116 Criminal Drug Groups Disrupted
According to information from the Drug Control Service, 21 special operations were conducted throughout the year using the "controlled delivery" method of drugs, including operations that extended beyond the country's borders. As a result, 17 underground drug laboratories were dismantled, 5 of which were involved in the production of synthetic drugs, and over 700 kg of such substances were seized.
Key achievements of the Drug Control Service in 2025:
- Successfully disrupted the activities of 116 criminal drug groups, which committed 142 crimes, resulting in the detention of 286 individuals. Additionally, 22 members of organized criminal drug groups registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs were arrested.
- Discovered 82 drug-related crimes committed through the internet and messaging services, blocking 54 online stores, 15 of which were closed by court order.
- Documented 17 attempts to import drugs into Kyrgyzstan via postal shipments from various countries.
- 33 foreign nationals were held criminally liable for offenses related to the illegal drug trade.
- Within the framework of drug-related criminal cases, judicial authorities made decisions to confiscate property obtained from drug sales, including: 15 residential houses worth 106 million 800 thousand soms; 25 plots of land with a total value of 17 million 650 thousand soms; 26 vehicles worth 49 million 358 thousand soms, as well as cash amounting to 111 thousand 900 US dollars, 8 million Uzbek soms, 9 million 274 thousand 580 soms, and 2 thousand rubles.
- 114 offenses in the field of illegal drug trafficking were registered, resulting in fines totaling 1 million 417 thousand soms.
In order to enhance the effectiveness of the fight against illegal drug trafficking in 2025, the Drug Control Service initiated and adopted 3 laws and 2 resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers.
