A woman has been detained in Bishkek in a case involving the sale of potent drugs.

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a woman suspected of the illegal sale of potent medications has been detained, according to the city’s Main Internal Affairs Directorate (GUVD).

The Drug Control Service of the GUVD received information about the illegal activities of a woman identified as "N." As a result, relevant information was registered in the Oktobrskiy district, and an investigation was initiated.

During operational activities on Arstanbek Street, a young man born in 2001 handed over three tablets of the drug "L." to police officers, claiming that he had purchased them from the aforementioned suspect.

Officers of the Drug Control Service of the Bishkek GUVD detained the woman N.S., born in 1971. During a search conducted jointly with the investigative service at her residence, 72 units of the drug "T." and 61 units of "L." were found and seized. The detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility.

The GUVD reminds that the illegal trafficking of potent medications entails criminal liability. Citizens are strongly advised not to engage in such activities and to report any violations to law enforcement agencies, with anonymity guaranteed.
