A Bishkek resident is suspected of selling psychotropic substances

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a woman suspected of illegal sale of psychotropic substances has been detained, reports the press service of the city’s Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the provided information, on December 30, 2025, employees of the Drug Control Service received information about the sale of drugs and potent medications in the Pervomaisky district.

A case has been initiated under the article concerning "illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogs for the purpose of sale" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the operation on Vlasov Street, T.G., born in 1986, was detained. During a search, 214 tablets of a psychotropic drug were found in her bag. The woman stated that she had purchased them at the Osh market and intended to sell them to acquaintances individually at a price ranging from 500 to 700 soms. She is currently in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing.
