Tragedy in the Moscow Region: CSKA trainee Adams fell from the window of a high-rise building
The football player passed away before the arrival of medical personnel
Lionel Adams, a graduate of CSKA and a defender of the youth national team of Russia, tragically died after falling from the window of a multi-story building in the Moscow region. In December of last year, he became a victim of an attack, resulting in a gunshot wound and hospitalization, as reported by "Sport-Express".
The incident became known on the evening of January 14. According to the Telegram channel "Mash na sporte", Adams fell from the window of the apartment of Timur Magomedov, who previously played for Yalta's "Rubin", where he was visiting. The footballer’s mother believes that this was not an accident, but a crime.
CSKA expressed its condolences to Adams' family and friends:
“Today our graduate Lionel Adams has left us. He was only 31 years old. We extend our sincere condolences to all his family and friends. Rest in peace, Lionel!” — stated in the club's official message.
Adams was in the spotlight with Magomedov in December when a well-known brawl occurred in Zvenigorod, during which he sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh.
“At first, the footballers were drinking in the apartment, then they went outside and began to conflict with strangers. A driver passing by tried to break up the fight but ended up getting involved himself. He pulled out a traumatic pistol and started shooting to avoid the threat. After that, the athletes went into a bar, where a new scuffle occurred,” reported the Telegram channel Mash.
Despite his injuries, Lionel did not want to contact the police or document the assault at that time.
Lionel Adams was born to a Nigerian father and a Russian mother. He previously played for numerous clubs, including "Yenisey", "Volga" (Tver), and "KAMAZ" in Russia, as well as teams from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Spain, Montenegro, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Additionally, he participated in matches for the youth national team of Russia, where he played four games, and in 2016, he won the Armenian Cup with "Banants".
