In Tajikistan, a Constitutional Court judge died after falling from the ninth floor

A judge of the Constitutional Court died in Tajikistan after falling from the ninth floor
A tragedy occurred in Tajikistan: judge of the Constitutional Court Jamshid Jamshidzoda, who was 52 years old, died after falling from the ninth floor. This information was reported by local news agencies.

Witnesses of the incident cannot definitively determine whether it was an accident or if the judge committed suicide.

A representative of law enforcement stated that a criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident, but no further information was provided.

Jamshidzoda was appointed as a judge of the Constitutional Court in 2019 on the recommendation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, taking into account the quota from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Previously, he held positions in the country's research institutes and from 2011 to 2019 was a member of the Central Election Commission. He held a PhD in law and is survived by his wife and three children.
