Attempted car theft in Kara-Balta ended with an arrest

In Kara-Balta, police officers successfully detained a man who attempted to steal a car, reports the press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region.

According to information from law enforcement agencies, the incident occurred on January 9, 2026, at around 16:30. The duty unit received a signal that an unidentified person had stolen a red "Volkswagen Golf-2" with the license plate 08KG524 from the territory of the Western garages in the Jayil district, after which he fled the scene.

In connection with this, all patrols were instructed to search for the car thief.
