The press service of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs made a statement for the residents of Bishkek following the incident involving 24-year-old Aimeirim Akisheva, who was reported missing.

The police received a report on January 6 from her sister, who informed them about the girl's disappearance. According to her, on that day around 5:50 PM, Aimeirim left for a meeting with a young man, Bakyt Asakeev, and did not return. After the distribution of alerts on social media, Akisheva and Asakeev contacted the authorities, stating that they would only reach out to relatives if the police report was withdrawn.

The Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs launched active search operations and soon managed to establish the whereabouts of the young people in the Naryn region. Asakeev apologized for the situation that had arisen.

The press service emphasized that upon receiving reports of missing persons, they immediately deploy significant forces and resources for search operations.

“When citizens voluntarily leave their homes without notifying their loved ones of their whereabouts, they mislead them and become the reason for a missing persons report. This requires the involvement of police officers, service vehicles, and other resources that could be used to address more important tasks related to maintaining public order and safety,” the Department added.
