How the police found Aimeirim Akishova in Naryn, who ran away with her boyfriend and staged a "show" on social media
Her sister contacted the police on January 6, stating that on that day around 5:50 PM, Aimeirim left to meet her boyfriend Bakyt Asakeev and went missing.
After the alerts were disseminated through the media, the young people got in touch via social networks. Asakeev explained that on that day they simply wanted to relax, which was the reason for their disappearance. They promised to contact Aimeirim's relatives on the condition that the reports to the police would be withdrawn.
At the same time, the Lenin Department of Internal Affairs organized extensive search operations, which led to the establishment of the couple's whereabouts. Asakeev expressed his apologies for what happened.
The press service noted that the consequences of the young people's actions would be assessed in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
The Department of Internal Affairs also clarified that upon receiving reports of missing persons, they immediately allocate significant resources for search operations.
“When citizens leave their homes on their own without notifying their relatives of their whereabouts, it misleads them and can serve as grounds for declaring a search. In such cases, the police, service vehicles, and other resources are involved, which at other times could be used for more important tasks related to public safety,” emphasized the Department of Internal Affairs.
