The printing of the national currency and state documents in Kyrgyzstan is a significant step towards economic independence and security. This was stated by economist Kuban Choroев in an interview with the Kabar agency.
According to Choroев, this event can be seen as a historic moment for the country. The launch of the printing of the som within the state symbolizes not only production capabilities but also emphasizes the sovereignty of Kyrgyzstan.
The economist highlighted several key advantages of this step.
Among them, he said, are reduced costs and savings in foreign currency.
“Previously, Kyrgyzstan had to spend millions of dollars and euros on the services of foreign companies, for example, from France and the UK, to print the national currency. Now this money will remain in the country, which will ensure savings in budget funds. In addition, we eliminate the risks associated with transporting money from abroad and the related expenses,” he noted.
Moreover, printing such important documents as passports and driver's licenses at the national level increases the level of protection of citizens' personal data.“Now we are not dependent on foreign suppliers. The availability of necessary international certificates confirms that our technologies are protected from counterfeiting and meet the highest standards,” Choroев added.
The economist also emphasized that Kyrgyzstan's entry into the level of printing currency and documents for other countries opens up new opportunities for high-tech exports.
“We can offer other states quality services at competitive prices. This will become a new direction, bringing foreign currency revenues to the state budget. Thus, this is not just a printing house, but a reflection of the state's confidence in its own capabilities and its new status on the world stage. We are not only consumers but also partners offering high-quality technological solutions,” he concluded.
