During a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Ervin Ibrahimović, Jeenbek Kulubaev, the head of the foreign policy agency of Kyrgyzstan, expressed the country's intention to strengthen multilateral cooperation with Montenegro.
Kulubaev emphasized that detailed discussions took place during the meeting, where the parties exchanged views on numerous areas of interaction. The main topics included the development of political dialogue, the organization of mutual visits by high-ranking officials, as well as the strengthening of trade and investment ties between the two countries.

“As mountainous countries, Montenegro and Kyrgyzstan have much in common, and we discussed a number of significant issues. The most important areas of cooperation are agriculture and tourism. We are interested in exchanging experiences, especially considering the high level of development of the tourism sector in Montenegro. We also aim to deepen our interaction in the fields of education and technology,” the minister noted.

Kulubaev added that both countries support each other on international platforms.

“We act together at international forums such as the UN and UNESCO, as well as within the dialogue with the European Union. We invited representatives of Montenegro to the Global Mountain Summit, which will be held in October 2027, as they are well aware of the issues faced by mountainous countries. Additionally, we invited them to the World Nomad Games, which will take place in September this year, so they can better familiarize themselves with our culture,” he added.

“We are determined to continue expanding and deepening our partnership. It is important for us to develop interaction at the intergovernmental, inter-presidential, and inter-parliamentary levels. It can be confidently said that our relations are entering a new phase,” Kulubaev concluded.

It is worth noting that Ervin Ibrahimović, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit, during which he met with Jeenbek Kulubaev. The visit also included the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Montenegro in Kyrgyzstan.
