The increase in mutual trade was discussed by Amangeldiev and the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The visit of the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan, Altamash Wazir Khan, was the subject of a meeting with the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Daniyar Amangeldiev, timed to coincide with his assumption of office.
According to information from the press service of the Cabinet, during the conversation, current aspects and opportunities for expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in areas such as economy, investment, and transport were discussed.
Amangeldiev congratulated the new diplomat on the beginning of his work and emphasized that a new stage in bilateral relations was initiated during the official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, to Pakistan in December of last year.
Attention was also drawn to the need to increase the volume of mutual trade and to activate joint efforts in the field of energy and investment cooperation.
Ambassador Altamash Wazir Khan, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and confirmed Islamabad's interest in deepening relations with Bishkek.
At the end of the meeting, Daniyar Amangeldiev noted the importance of the conversation held and expressed hope that the experience of the new ambassador would help elevate bilateral relations to a new level.
