The event is scheduled for March 26-27, 2026, in Shymkent. The head of the EEU Coordination Department of the Ministry of Economy, Elimbek Kanybek uulu, announced key decisions concerning the Kyrgyz Republic.
He noted that the agenda includes discussions on the Regulation on the selection of participants for cooperative projects within the EEU. Currently, there is a mechanism for subsidizing interest rates for preferential lending of such initiatives.
“It is important that separate selection criteria will be developed for Kyrgyzstan. Considering the differences in the level of economic development, our capabilities also differ. Different norms are needed for various mechanisms. We have reached an understanding of this from the other states,” added Elimbek Kanybek uulu.
In addition, he reported that a directive will be prepared for the meeting regarding the creation of simplified criteria for Kyrgyzstan.
The mechanism of financial support for producers in the EEU countries includes subsidizing interest rates on loans and borrowings provided by financial institutions for the implementation of joint projects, funded by the EEU budget. “Participation in this mechanism will allow enterprises to reduce the interest rate from 23% to 6.5%,” emphasized the Minister of the EEC.
