The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has decided to implement a new procedure for the sale of precious metals for domestic jewelry manufacturers. This document was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The new initiative aims to harmonize legislation in the field of operations with precious metals and stones in accordance with the KR Law "On Precious Metals and Precious Stones," as well as the Decree of the President of the KR, which implies support for certain sectors of the economy. According to this procedure, jewelers gain the right to purchase precious metals and stones that have been acquired by the Cabinet of Ministers under preferential conditions. This is necessary to ensure the production of jewelry within the country.
According to the new resolution, domestic jewelry manufacturers will be able to purchase precious metals with a 2% discount from the fixing of the London Bullion Market Association.
Additionally, buying points and pawnshops working with precious metals and stones can sell both jewelry and scrap to the authorized state body responsible for implementing state policy in this area, with the exception of the items themselves.
