The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved the procedure for the sale of precious metals for domestic jewelers. The resolution was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
This document has been adopted to align the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding operations with precious metals and stones in accordance with the Law "On Precious Metals and Precious Stones" and the Presidential Decree, which defines support measures for certain sectors of the economy. It emphasizes that jewelry manufacturers can purchase precious metals and stones that have been acquired by the Cabinet of Ministers under preferential rights, which will provide them with the necessary resources for production in Kyrgyzstan, according to the established procedure.
According to the new resolution, local jewelry manufacturers will be able to purchase precious metals at a 2% discount from the fixed price of the London Bullion Market Association.
In addition, purchasing points and pawnshops dealing with precious metals and stones can sell jewelry and scrap to the authorized state body responsible for implementing state policy in this area, excluding the items themselves.
