Daniyar Amangeldiev participated in the next meeting of the EEC Council in Moscow
The next meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) council took place in Moscow, with Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, participating.
According to the government press service, 35 issues were on the agenda, six of which were approved without discussion.
The meeting primarily focused on issues of integration cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). In particular, topics such as digitalization, technical regulations, public procurement, and statistical cooperation were discussed.
One of the key decisions was the approval of the report on the current state and prospects for the development of the Integrated Information System of the EAEU. Participants noted the importance of this system for quality digital interaction between member states and for the implementation of common Union initiatives. The report will be sent for further discussion at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
The council also approved the draft Program of Joint Actions for Consumer Rights Protection for EAEU member states for 2026-2030. This document includes measures to improve the protection of citizens' rights and harmonize legislation in this area.
Additionally, the Program for the Development of Integration in Statistics for 2026-2030 was approved, aimed at improving the comparability of statistical data among Union countries and enhancing data collection methods.
During the meeting, issues of technical regulation were also considered, including amendments to the Customs Union regulation "On the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment" (TR TS 019/2011). The amendments further clarify the requirements for various protective equipment and update the terminology.
Council members discussed mechanisms for determining the country of origin of goods within the framework of state and municipal procurement. Plans are in place to continue working on synchronizing national rules and developing unified approaches to confirming the origin of software for goods produced in EAEU countries.
A decision was also supported to introduce labeling for certain types of confectionery products using identification means.
According to this decision, EAEU member states will be able to independently choose the timelines and procedures for implementing labeling and are required to notify the EEC at least six months before its application begins. This innovation is expected to ensure the traceability of goods and protect the market from counterfeits.
