A meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council took place in Moscow, attended by Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

During the meeting, 35 issues related to the most important aspects of integration interaction were discussed, six of which were approved without further discussion.

The main focus was on integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union, including issues of digitalization, technical regulation, public procurement, and statistical interaction.

In particular, a report on the current results and future development of the Integrated Information System of the EAEU was approved, which participants believe is crucial for quality digital interaction between member states and the implementation of joint initiatives. The report will be forwarded for further consideration to the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

The EEC Council also approved a draft Program of Joint Actions for EAEU countries in the field of consumer rights protection for the period 2026–2030. This document includes a wide range of measures aimed at strengthening the protection of citizens' rights and improving interaction between relevant organizations, as well as harmonizing legislative norms.

Additionally, the Program for the Development of Statistical Integration in the EAEU for 2026–2030 was approved. This will improve the comparability of statistical data and optimize information collection methods across the Union.

Important aspects of technical regulation were also discussed. Council members reviewed changes to the technical regulation of the Customs Union "On the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment" (TR TS 019/2011), which clarify the requirements for specific protective equipment, expand the list of regulated objects, and update the terminology of the regulation.

Mechanisms for determining the country of origin of goods for public and municipal procurement were also discussed. Participants concluded that it is necessary to continue work on synchronizing the timelines for implementing national rules and developing unified approaches to confirming the origin of software used in the industries of EAEU countries.

Furthermore, the meeting supported the initiative to introduce labeling for certain confectionery products using identification means.

According to the new decision, EAEU member states will independently establish the timelines and procedures for implementing labeling in their territories, notifying the EEC at least six months before the start of its application. This innovation aims to ensure the traceability of goods and protect the market from counterfeit products.
