The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, through the Department of Disease Prevention and Sanitary-Epidemiological Surveillance, reported a registered case of mass food poisoning in the capital.
According to preliminary data, 13 people sought medical assistance, of which 11 were hospitalized, and two are receiving outpatient treatment.
All affected individuals are receiving the necessary medical care.
Preliminary data suggests that the cause of the illness was dishes prepared at the "Buffet" cafeteria.
An unscheduled inspection of the establishment has been conducted, and samples of the products have been taken for laboratory research.
As a result of the identified violations, a protocol was drawn up, and a fine of 23,000 som was imposed on the establishment, along with a directive to temporarily suspend its activities starting from March 11, 2026.
The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
