The Audit Chamber of Kyrgyzstan Reveals Financial Violations in the Ministry of Labor: Audit Results for 2024

The Audit Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic has completed an audit of the budget execution of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration for the year 2024, including its structural subdivisions. The audit covered the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024, and aimed to analyze compliance with legislation in the use of budget funds, as well as to assess financial discipline and the accuracy of accounting.

During the inspection, various financial violations and deficiencies were identified, indicating non-compliance with certain norms of current legal acts. The total amount of identified violations amounted to 36 million 560.3 thousand soms. Of this amount, 11 million 225.4 thousand soms were related to errors in accounting. As a result of measures taken to correct the deficiencies, it was possible to recover 2 million 12.4 thousand soms.

The audit also revealed cases of violations in the accounting process, discrepancies in the recording of fixed assets, and the absence of certain material values in the accounting balance. In addition, violations were found in the process of assigning and paying state benefits, as well as instances of misappropriation of budget funds. During the audit, necessary adjustments were made to the accounting records to eliminate the identified deficiencies.

Following the audit, recommendations were provided to the audited entity to address the identified violations, improve financial discipline, and enhance the efficiency of budget fund utilization.
