In Novosibirsk, at the General Consulate of Kyrgyzstan, three diplomats and five staff members are working. This was reported by Aibek Aydarbekov, the director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
According to the consulate, 17,791 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are registered in Novosibirsk. In addition, over 50,000 compatriots hold Russian citizenship.
Every year, about 12,000 citizens visit the region for tourism, medical, or personal reasons. In total, approximately 30,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan reside in Novosibirsk.
Currently, the migration registry of the Russian Federation lists 4,624 citizens of Kyrgyzstan. A year earlier, their number was 11,838, but due to the work carried out, 9,038 people were removed from the registry.
The consulate organized 112 outreach meetings, during which practical assistance was provided to about 600 citizens regarding deregistration issues. More than 1,500 people received consultations during in-person visits, and about 3,000 – in an online format.
There are also 11 types of paid and 16 types of free consular services available. Last year, 310 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were deported from Russia.
