According to the agency's data, the application for the trademark registration was submitted on June 7, 2025. This trademark represents a combined variant that includes both an image and a textual part, and it has successfully passed registration in all 45 classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services. This provides protection for a wide range of goods and services, from electronics and food products to various services.
Sarypov also noted that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has become the sole rights holder of this trademark. This means that the Chamber now has the exclusive right to control the use of this logo by both legal entities and individuals.
According to the specialist, the registration of the trademark is significant for identifying domestic producers and protecting export products. "Now in the country, we can prevent cases where goods from other states are simply labeled as 'Made in KG' and resold. National registration allows us to control this process within Kyrgyzstan," he explained.
Furthermore, Sarypov added that currently, the brand is protected only within the framework of the national procedure. In order for "Ak Ilbirs" to gain legal force outside the country and protect itself from counterfeiting in international markets, registration under the international (Madrid) system is required.
He also reported that plans are being considered at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to submit an international application, which will allow the Kyrgyz brand to gain protection in other countries participating in this system and officially secure the republic's status as a producer of environmentally friendly and high-quality products.
