At a ceremonial meeting with representatives of the female staff of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, who holds the position of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, congratulated them on the upcoming International Women's Day.

He shared information from the National Statistical Committee, which highlights the growing significance of women in the economy of Kyrgyzstan:

- Approximately 20% of small and medium-sized businesses in the country are managed by women.

- Women hold leadership positions in the fields of education, digital technologies, manufacturing, and trade.

Kasymaliev also reminded about the strategic initiatives of the state aimed at achieving gender equality. One of the key steps was the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed on February 20, 2026, which established new standards in the state governance system.

“We are moving from theory to practice. According to the new presidential decree, by 2027, at least 30% of women must be included in the personnel reserve for leadership positions, and by 2030, we aim to achieve a full 30% representation of women in all leadership positions in state and municipal institutions,” noted Adylbek Kasymaliev.
