The Ministry of Transport and ADB Discussed the Development of the Electric Vehicle Sector and Digitalization
The parties focused on the development of electric mobility, the creation of necessary infrastructure for charging stations, as well as the modernization of the railway sector. In addition, initiatives for the implementation of digital technologies in the road transport sector were discussed.
“We paid special attention to creating optimal conditions for the growth of electric transport and improving the regulatory framework. During the meeting, issues were raised regarding the implementation of monitoring systems for road surface conditions, the application of intelligent solutions and analytics, as well as the development of mechanisms for priority investment based on criteria of safety, resilience to climate change, and technical condition. The use of weather stations and mobile laboratories for monitoring road conditions was also discussed,” the press release stated.
Furthermore, representatives of the Asian Development Bank confirmed their readiness to share international experience and tools aimed at improving the efficiency of road infrastructure management.
