According to the information contained in the Cabinet's resolution dated February 13, 2026, number 97, the deadline specified in the eighth paragraph of point 194-1 has been changed:
- The requirement for taxi drivers to have a valid license has now been postponed from February 1, 2026, to July 1, 2026.
This regulatory act will be officially published and will come into effect on February 1, 2026.
Context of the Situation
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has decided to extend the licensing period for passenger carriers using cars until July 1, 2026.
The licensing process started in September; however, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that taxi drivers had not shown much activity in completing it.
On December 3, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers had already extended the deadline for obtaining a license to February 1, 2026.
