Kyrgyzstan and Romania Conclude Negotiations on the Agreement for Avoiding Double Taxation

From February 23 to 26, negotiations took place in Bucharest between the official delegations of the Kyrgyz Republic and Romania, aimed at concluding an Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation concerning income taxes and the prevention of tax offenses. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

According to the agency, as a result of the negotiations, a principled agreed version of the draft Agreement was reached.
The Ministry of Economy clarified that the signing of this document will occur upon the completion of all necessary internal procedures provided for by the legislation of both countries.
The ministry also noted that the Agreement will ensure protection for residents of one country from discriminatory taxation on the territory of the other party, and includes measures to prevent tax evasion and abuse of the terms of the Agreement. Additionally, it will facilitate the exchange of information between the relevant authorities of the two states.
