The National Bank commented on the possible impact of the 20th package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation on the banking sector of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He noted that work in this direction is being carried out consistently by both the government and the National Bank.
Kozubekov emphasized that the authorities are taking active measures to mitigate the potentially negative effects of the sanctions.
“We are trying to minimize the impact of these sanction packages on the Kyrgyz Republic,” he said, adding that not only Kyrgyzstan is facing sanction pressure, but also other countries in the region.
