Marlen Mamataliyev discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan
Today, February 23, a meeting took place between the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev. The press service of the parliament reported this event.
During the conversation, the prospects for deepening political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries were discussed, as well as the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Marlen Mamataliyev emphasized Kyrgyzstan's interest in strengthening friendly relations with Uzbekistan. He noted, "It is necessary to continue developing our strategic partnership in the same spirit."
Furthermore, the Chairman highlighted that close ties between the leaders of the two countries create a strong impetus for enhancing cooperation, pointing out the significance of bilateral working visits for strengthening connections.
Marlen Mamataliyev also added that parliamentary diplomacy is key to implementing previously reached agreements. "In recent years, we have been actively developing cooperation in this direction, paying special attention to Kyrgyz-Uzbek inter-parliamentary partnership. We also work together on various international platforms, such as the CIS IPA and TurkPA," he noted.
The Chairman also briefly touched upon the work of the inter-parliamentary commission for cooperation, noting its importance for expanding ties.
Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev, in turn, expressed gratitude to Marlen Mamataliyev for the warm welcome and congratulated him on his election as Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh. He conveyed greetings from the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva and the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber Nuriddin Ismoilov.
The Ambassador emphasized that Uzbekistan supports the active development of Kyrgyzstan and its achievements. He also spoke about his plans to strengthen bilateral cooperation during his diplomatic mission.
