Kyrgyzstan Increased Medicine Production by 1.7 Times Amid the Launch of New Capacities
This sector accounts for the largest share of total industrial production, which amounted to 79.7%. The physical volume index compared to the previous year, 2024, was 109.8%.
The Ministry of Economy reports that significant results have been achieved, including an increase in pharmaceutical production by 1.7 times. This growth is attributed to government support measures, an import substitution policy, as well as the modernization of the industry and the phased commissioning of new production capacities.
It is also worth noting the launch of medication production in Bishkek as part of the initiative "100 Industrial Enterprises – 2025," the expansion of existing companies' activities, and the implementation of a large investment project in Kara-Balta aimed at creating a modern pharmaceutical complex with a full production and technological cycle and the production of essential medications.
